Pathway is an optional continuous monitoring mode available on the Root Patient Monitoring and Connectivity Platform. Designed to streamline clinician workflows and support adherence to neonatal resuscitation protocols, Pathway:
Allows clinicians to start tracking the time elapsed since birth even while the newborn is being assessed and pulse oximetry monitoring has not been initiated
Shows time elapsed since birth, not since monitoring began, and allows clinicians to synchronize with the actual time of birth if the Pathway timer was initiated later
Visually represents the user-definable SpO2 targets during the first 10 minutes after birth per hospital protocol
Provides a visual indication of whether or not the patient’s oxygenation is within the target range
Trend features user-defined caution and critical thresholds per hospital policy
During the first 10 minutes after birth may aid in reducing alarms
